There are over 7,000 languages spoken worldwide, but complete Bible translations exist in only about 700 of them. Approximately 1.5 billion people still don't have access to the full Bible in their native language. This represents not just a translation gap, but a barrier to deep spiritual understanding and growth.

When people can read Scripture in their heart language—the language they think and dream in—the words come alive with power and clarity. Complex theological concepts become understandable. Partnering with Translation Teams

Maji.bible partners with Bible translation organizations and local teams working in minority language communities. These dedicated linguists, many of whom are native speakers of the languages they're translating, spend years carefully rendering God's Word with both accuracy and readability.

The process is meticulous. Translators must understand not only biblical Greek and Hebrew, but also the cultural and linguistic nuances of the target language. They work with community input, testing translations to ensure they communicate clearly and naturally. The goal is a translation that is faithful to the original text while flowing naturally in the receptor language.

Recent Milestones

We're excited to share some recent victories in Bible translation:

• The New Testament was completed in a Southeast Asian language spoken by 200,000 people
• The book of Genesis was published in a West African language, with the rest of the Old Testament in progress
• Audio recordings of the Gospels were completed for an oral culture in Central Asia
• Translation work began in two previously unwritten languages after years of linguistic research

Stories from the Field

One translator shared this testimony: "When we read the newly translated Gospel of John to the village elders, many wept. They said it was the first time they truly understood who Jesus is and what He did for them. Several accepted Christ that very day."
